Gloucester House can deliver training on a range of topics within the context of social, emotional and mental health. Training packages are available to schools, local authorities, CAMHS clinics and academy clusters.
We provide training for teachers (including NQTs), SENCOs, Teaching Assistants, Learning Mentors and other staff working in schools.
Online workshops
The Tavistock and Portman Trust are delighted to announce the launch of a new workshop series in partnership with Gloucester House Outreach Service. Aimed at professionals who work directly with children, both within school settings and beyond, three new courses will offer an accessible introduction to a range of timely topics including emotionally-based school avoidance, self-harm and attachment difficulties.
Supporting pupils at risk of self-harm
A two-hour live workshop to improve your understanding of self-harm and learn how to implement systems that minimize the risk for young people. Suitable for staff working directly with children and young people who are exhibiting self-harm behaviour.

Addressing emotionally-based school avoidance
In this interactive workshop, learn about the risk factors contributing to school avoidance, and how to address them. This course is suitable if you work with children who are experiencing low attendance.

Supporting pupils with attachment difficulties in the classroom
A two-hour session that will explore attachment styles and how to support resilience and containment in school. Ideal if you work with children or young people who have experienced early years trauma and/or attachment difficulties.
