Personal health, social and citizenship (PSHCE) is the bedrock of the Gloucester house integrated curriculum and is the golden thread running through all our work across the school day.
PSHCE sessions are taught weekly and SOW are taken from the JIGSAW PSHCE scheme which gathers resources from different areas including links to charities and other organisations. Sessions take different formats to engage the pupils in the learning including discussions and debates, role play, online activities, creative tasks and written activities. Topics are revisited to ensure pupils are confident in their content and that they can apply their learning to different real like situations.
Pupils also take part in weekly circle times which reinforce and develop learning from PSHCE sessions. Activities from these circle times are then taken back into class to extend the learning and widen the discussion.
